Please shave 24 hours before your laser treatment to ensure it works effectively, as hair above the skin can hinder the process. For your consultation, avoid shaving so we can properly assess your hair and skin. For treatments, please come fully shaved.
Patients are also advised to avoid tanning and applying fake tan prior to treatment. SPF50 should be used prior to and throughout your treatment.
Aftercare
Avoid abrasive creams or topical ointments or heavy perfumes.
Redness should subside within 24-48 hours post treatment depending on skin type.
Avoid harsh sun exposure/sunbeds.
Avoid swimming for 24hrs.
Avoid sauna and steam rooms or 24 hours.
Regularly cleanse the skin with warm water, a gentle cleanser or a light oil-free moisturiser.
The laser emits a light energy, which is then converted into heat. The melanin, the substance that gives the hair its colour, absorbs the laser light emitted which then destroys the hair follicle without damaging the surrounding tissue.

How Many Sessions Will I Need?
We advise a minimum of 6 treatments to get the best results. Some clients may need additional treatments depending on certain factors, for example hormonal imbalances.
The number of sessions depends on the body area to be treated, colour and thickness of the hair, skin type and the specific features of each patient. After your 6th treatment if any additional sessions are required I offer a discounted single session price.
Are There Any Side Effects?
The treatment with Eneka PRO minimises the risks, that are reversible in a short period of time: skin reddening, residual or perifollicular erythema, that disappear in 24/72 hours after the treatment.
